When my father died in March 2020, he left every possible complication you could think of behind. As the eldest child, I took on a very serious duty to sort out this mess, which has taken years of my life. Through this project where I write, photograph, film and create in an effort to understand what has happened, I am discovering that although this is about my father; really – it is about me.

Why did I decide this was important for me to do? Why did he have so many vices? Does family duty come above all else?

The Dad Project is a personal transmedia documentary with interviews, photos, footage and much reflection, representing my search for the truth about what makes a human tick.

It is also research for a feature film in development provisionally entitled ‘Celica’.
